Sheryn Johnson’s show

Sheryn is having a show of her water colour paintings at the “Creating Spirit Gallery” in Meewasin Valley United Church, 327 Pinehouse Dr., Jan. 21 – Mar. 25, 9-12 am and 1-4 pm.  There will be a “Meet the Artist” reception on Thurs., Feb. 4, 7:3-8:30 pm.  Coffee and snacks served. We hope that you can come by.

 

Looking ahead to 2010

April 17 and 18, 2010, will mark our 8th Annual Art Show and Sale.

The show will again be held at the 3rd Floor Loft, Albert Community Centre

For those of you who like to mark their calendars ahead for the new year, here is the information you need.

June Ricklefs’ Show at Meewasin Valley Centre

June is having a solo show entitled ‘Scenes of Canada’ at the Meewasin Valley Centre until October 28. The Meewasin Centre is at 402 Third Ave S, and is open 9 – 5 on weekdays, and 10:30 – 5 on weekends.

 

Looking to the upcoming season

The members of the Prairie River Artists group will be getting underway with their new season. The first meeting of the group will be on September 12. We meet twice a month to paint together and discuss our works. At the end of the season, in April, we have our annual show and sale to celebrate the end of another year.

You can mark your calendars now (for those who like to plan ahead) with the dates of our April 2010 show:

Saturday, April 17, from 10 am to 6 pm

Sunday, April 18, from 11 am to 4:30 pm

The show will be held at the Third Floor Loft, Albert Community Centre, corner of 12th St and Clarence Ave.

We are ready to go for another season!

 

Upcoming group show

Prairie River Artists will be having a group show at the Indigo Gallery in the Circle Centre Mall Gallery. The show will run from August 4 to September 6. We hope you can come by and see the show.

 

Mendel Members Art Show and Sale 2009

The Mendel Member’s Showcase, their 5th Annual, will be held in the lower hall of the gallery from Friday June 5 to Sunday June 21 during gallery hours.

This year, there will be an opening reception for the public and artists at 8 pm, Friday, June 5.

Several of the group’s members will have pieces in the show again this year. We hope that you will have time to drop by – it is always a good show and has unfortunately been underplayed for the past couple of years. This year the Mendel seems to be making a better go at advertising.
